Three combinations of isonitrogenous complete feeds T1, T2 and T3 were prepared by incorporating dewbean straw at 40, 50 and 60 per cent level, respectively and two groups- yeast supplemented and yeast unsupplemented for each complete feed combination were studied. Yeast supplementation increased significantly (P<0.01) IVDMD and IVOMD of dewbean straw in all three combinations of complete feeds. No adverse effect was observed on both IVDMD and IVOMD with the increase in level of roughage from 40 to 60% in complete feeds recorded for all the feeds. In conclusion, results demonstrate that live yeast culture supplementation improve IVDMD and IVOMD with better in vitro utilization of dewbean straw. Further, observation indicated that dewbean straws can be optimally incorporated in the complete feed up to 60% level without any adverse effect on IVDMD and IVOMD.
