Dry fallen teak leaves (DFTL) were incorporated at 0, 20, and 40 parts replacing 0, 50 and 100 Per cent wheat straw in complete feeds after coarse grinding and blending with concentrates. The complete feeds were fed to three groups of cross-bred (Jersey x Gir x Holstein Friesian) male calves for a period of 70 days. DM consumption, body weight gain, and digestibilities of DM, CP EE, CF and NFE were significantly lower in calves fed complete feeds containing DFTL. It was concluded that DFTL can not replace wheat straw weight by weight without resorting to efforts towards improvement in its nutritive value.
