Four rams (25 kg, average body weight) were fed 250 g of Dhaincha (Sesbania aculeata) seeds per head per day along with ad lib feeding of berseem straw. The chemical composition of Dhaincha seed on DM basis was 32.14% CP, 2.52% EE, 13.98% CF, 45.26% NFE, 59.24% TCHO, 6.10% Ash, 0.40% Ca and 0.34% P. The nutritive value of Dhaincha seed, determined by method of difference, was DCP 20.7%, TDN 61.8%, NR 1: 2, DE 2.72 M. eal/kg, ME 2.23 M. cal/kg on DM basis.
