The nutrient utilisation from green maize in buffalo calves, cow calves and goats was studied and the effect of supplementation of green matae(T1) with cowpee bay in ratio of 1:1 (T2) and 2 :1 (T3) was determined in cow calves. It was found that goats digested higher per cent of DM, OM and CF (69.28, 71.04 and 70.86) than buffalo (61.57, 63.67 and 62.79) and cow calves (63.63, 65.81, 62.26). DM intake (g/kg W0.75) was not significantly influenced by supplementation of green maize with cowpea hay whereas DCP, TDN (g/kg W0.75) and DE (Kcal/kg W0.75) intakes were improved respectively from 5.52, 50.04, 207.08 in T1 to 9.45, 70.98, 266.90 in T2 and 7.45, 63.38, 238.81 in T3, though non-significantly.
