Groundnut cake (GNC), deoiled groundnut cake (DGNC), mustard oil cake (MOC), Sesame oil cake (SOC), Soybean meal (SBM) and Fish meal (FM) samples contained on an average CP : 37.9, 41.1, 36.4, 43.3, 51.9 and 51.5 per cent; available lysine : 2.69, 2.99, 2.71, 1.12, 4.13 and 5.38 g/16 g N and methionine ; 1.53, 1.68,1.70, 2.74, 1.76 and 3.0 g/16 g N, respectively. A single sample of meat meal contained protein, 68.2 per cent; available lysine, 7.13 g/16 g N and methionine, 3.14 g/16 g N.
