An eleven week growth experiment was carried out in male goats (Alpine x Beetal, 5m) by feeding a diet comprising of wheat straw and concentrate mixture supplying 89 per cent of CP through Leucaena leucocephala seeds. The growth rate and nutrient intake with respect to gain in body weight were found normal in goats fed above ration. Leucaena seed was also found to be a good source of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid.
