Four varieties of guar (Cyamopsts tetragonoloba) (HG-182, HG-75, HFG-119 and FS-277) seed were analysed for their chemical composition and amino acid profile. The seeds of varieties of HG-75 and HG-182 contained significantly higher amount of CP as compared to other two varieties. HG-75 had highest amounts of threonine, serine and alanine. Valine was highest in variety FS-277. Cysteine and methionine were in traces in all the varieties. HFG-119 Contained highest amount of the rest amino acids studied.
