Nutritive value of ground sunflower seeds was determined by difference method in crossbred (Ongole x Holstein) bulls fed on rice straw as basal roughaye. Sunflower seeds contained 24.2 per cent DCP; 85.2 per cent TDN; 3.8 Mcal/kg DE and 3.1 Mcal/kg ME. Nutrient requirements of the crossbred bulls were met when rice straw was supplemented with 750 g sunflower seeds.
