Commercial broiler chicks (630) from 0-8 wks of age were fed on varying levels of energy, protein and limiting amino acids to study the live weight gain, processing losses and meat yield of the broilers. Body weight gain in broilers getting 3000 kcal ME/kg diet, 25-24-21 per cent protein with 1.30-1.20-0.99 per cent lysine and 1.00-0.86-0.70 per cent sulphur amino acids in starting, growing and finishing phases of growth, respectively, were significantly higher. Except the abdominal fat and total processing loss (P < 0.01), other losses as well as meat yield were not significantly influenced by the various levels of nutrients under study.
