Four adult male goats of Jamunapari (21.2-29.6 kg) and Barbari (17.0-21.1 kg) breeds were fed in two separate experiments ad lib crushed dry mature whole pods of Siris (Albizia lebbeck) and Subabul (Leucaena leucocephala) alongwith 1 kg green hybrid Napier fodder. The average intake of dry pods of A. lebbeck and L, leucocephala was 330 [and 306 g/d respectively. The digestibility coefficients of DM, CP, EE, CF and NFE in case of A. lebbeck pods ration were 49.85, 54.13, 28.70, 46.95 and 54.04. Corresponding values for L. leucocephala pods based ration were 46.88, 40.26, 45.63, 57,87 and 45.26, AH the animals on both feeds were in marginally positive N balance. The DCP and TON contents (on DM basis) of A. lebbeck pods were 9.91 and 35.15 per cent and the corresponding values for L. leucocephala pods were 5.41 and 37.51 per cent.
