Nine cross-bred male calves (18m; 136 - 152 kg) ware fed 3 rations : I (control), II (having 10 per cent dried poultry droppings) and HI (having 10 percent dried dung slurry) in a switchover design for a total period of 221 d. The overall live weight gain in groups I, II and III were 692, 651 and 716 g/d respectively. The digestibility coefficients of DM and proximate principles were similar in the three groups. N retention, which was 30.5, 29.6 and 323 g/d in groups I, II and III, was also statistically non-significant. The results showed that 10 per cent dried poultry droppings or dried dung slurry could be used safely in the concentrate mixtures of cross-bred calves.
