120 week-old birds were divided into 12 groups (4 x 3) of 10 birds each and maintained on isonitrogenous and isocalorlc diets containing 0, 10, 15 and 20% of deoiled rice bran (DORB) for five wks followed by a metabolic trial. Weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, nutrient digestibility (except CF) and balance of N and Ca among groups did not differ significantly. CF digestibility of 10% DORB level diet was significantly higher (P< 0.05) than the control diet. The balances of P showed a declining trend at higher levels of DORB inclusion and at 20% DORB inclusion, the balance was significantly lower than the control and 10% DORB diet but the birds were still in positive balance. The meat yield in terms of eviscerated percentage was similar in all the groups. Results indicated that 20 % DORB could be included in broiler rations without any effect on performance.
