Abstract

Three Decanni sheep (12-14 in; 23-25 hg) were divided into 3 groups and fed 0(T1), 15(T2) and 30(T3) per cent levels of Subabul (leucama leucocephala) seeds in their concentrate ration in a 3 x 3 Latin square design experiment Mixed grass hay was aiso fed ad lib. No significant differences were observed in digestibility of nutrients on various treatments except EE which showed significant (P<0.05) increase at 30% level. All the animals were in positive N, Ca, and P balances. The percent N retained increased with an increase in. the level of subabul seeds in the ration. Subabul seeds can be incorporated at 30% level in sheep rations without any 111 effect.
