Mixing efficiency of horizontal double ribbon type mixer, for mixing, two complete dairy cattle feeds each containing 65 and 47.5 % roughage components respectively, for 5.0, 7.5 and 10.0 min. was evaluated by estimating the recoveries of CP and mineral matter. Significantly (P<0.01) higher efficiency was observed at 10 min. mixing, as indicated by higher mean values of CP and mineral matter with low coefficient of variation.
