Abstract

Chopped rice straw was ensiled with 5 % urea and 4 (A), 7 (B) or 10 (C) per cent molnesses for 2 wks and then fed ad libitum alongwith h 1k green fodder to 12 indigenous female buffalo calves (1 yr; 71-105 kg) divided in 3 equal groups in a randomised block design. The digestibilities of CF and OM were significantly (P<0.05) higher in A than in other groupss Increasing the level of molasses gave decreasing weight gain and feed digestibility in animals.
