Three hundred and twenty, 2wk old commercial broiler chicks were fed with diet containing maize (R1) or gullidanda (Phalaris miner) (R2) seeds. Four weeks body weight gains of the birds fed with R2 (1024g) were significantly higher than those fed R1 (893g). Efficiency of utilization of feed, CP and energy were comparable in both the groups as seen from carcass composition of birds and ME value of the diets.
