The bajra (Pennisetum americanum) fodder was offered ad libitum with conventional concentrate feed to 4 uneastrated male pigs (133.33±1.20 kg) for 50d. The ratio of concentrate to fodder intake was 81.22:18.78 on DM basis. The eigestibility of nutrients were quite high and satisfactory. The pigs were on positive N balances and N retention was 5.26±4.44 percent of intake. The DCP and TDN of ration was 14.60±0:30 and 62.37±1.26 percent respectively, whereas DE was 2812.31±50.57 Kcal/kg. The results indicated that the green bajra fodder could be incorporated in the ration of finisher pigs to reduce the cost of ffeding to a considerable extent.
