Different levels of isolated crade mowrfn, i.e., 0 (T1), 10 (T2), 20 (T3), 40 (T4), 60 (T5), 80 (T6) and 100 (T7) mg/flask were ised in the in vitro cellulose digestion, microbial protein synthesis and TVFA production studies. It was observed that the cellulose digestibility reduced from 25.11% to 6.3% (T7) (P<0.01) with increasing levels of mowrin. Similarly, the microbial protein synthesis and TVFA production also declined (P<0.01) with increased level of mowrin. Thus, the above in vitro studics Indicated that with the increasing level of mowrin, there was a consistent decrease in the various microbial activities in the rumen.
