180 Chicks (1 d old) were randomly divided Into 15 eaual groups with 3 replicates in each and fed diets containing water cress (Nasturtium officinale), poultry meal (WCPM) at 0 (D1), 5 (Dj) and 10 (D3) percent levels replacing the protein in wheat bran and groundnut cake on isonitrogenous basis for 5 wks. It was observed that the feeding of diet D3 resulted in significantly (P<0.05) depressed growth and feed consumption than those recorded on diets D1 and D2, however, such depressions were non significant on D2. The digestibility coefficients of CP and CF were significantly (P<0.05) lower in chicks fed on D2 and D3. The results thus, Indicated that WCPM could be fed in chick diets only upto 5% level.
