Sixty White Leghorn chicks (1d old) were randomly divided in to 2 equal groups and fed standard chick mash without papaine (A) or with papalne (B) for 8 wks. The addition of papaine with chick mash did not tmprove eitheerhe efficiency of feed utilization or growth of birds.
