24 growing crossbred (Landrace, Tamworth x indegenous) piglets (3-4m; 18-19 kg) were divided Into 4 equal groups (3 males and 3 females each) and fed the diets in which expeller pressed Kosum cake (EPKC) replaced 0 (T1), 20 (T2), 40 (T3) and 60 (T4) percent of Niger cake for 148d. The average body weight gains were 494.14±40.9, 477.50±47.5, 436.96±52.6 and 370.47+32.5 g (P>0.05) and feed gain ratios were 4.28±0.57, 4.42±0.51, 4.58±0.73 and 4.63±0.29 respectively, for T1 to T4 The cost of feeding was lowest in T4 followed by T3 to T1 (P>0.05). The results indicated that EPKC could replace Niger cake N upto 40 percent in pig grower ration without adversely affecting the growth performance.
