Amlora (Rumex hastatus D. Don), a bushy shrub of 30-90 cm height, contains 11.52 and 19.74 per cent CP and CF, respectively. Its ieaf meal (ALM) was tested on 90 commercial broiler chicks (Id old) divided into 2 equal groups with 3 replicates each Ted on diet with 0 (T1) and 10(T2) per cent levels of ALM as a replacement of maize and sunflower cake for 5 wks. Significantly (P<0.05) depressed growth and feed consumption were observed in T2 chicks as compared to those in T. The digestibility coefficients of all the nutrients were significantly (P<0.05) lower except that of CF which was significantly (P<0.05) higher in T2 than in T1. The results indicated that the inclusion of ALM in broiler chick diet depressed the nutrient digestibilities and growth rates.
