Twelve adult male buffaloes (2-2½ yrs 331-343 kg) were divided into 3 equal groups snd fed either oat hay ad lib (T1) or with 60% oat hay duly replaced with 5% urea treated (T2) or sundried (T3) wheat straw soiled with animal waste material for 20d. The DM intake (kg/100 kg body wt) was 2.36, 1.96 and 1.84 in T1, T2 and T3 respectively. The DCP and TDN contents of 5% urea treated and sun dried wheat straw soiled with animal waste calculated by method of difference were 3.38, 155 and 28.19, 24.08% on DM basis, respectively.
