Prepubertal levels of plasma Ca, Inorganic P, Mg, Cu and Zn were measured In 18 crossbred heifers. Plasma levels of Ca, P and Mg were not related with age at puberty (P>0.05). Plasma levels of Cu and Zn were significantly related to age at puberty (P>0.01). Heifers with Cu level of 125 µg/dl and Zn level of 230 µg/dl in plasma attained puberty earlier than those having levels lower than these.
