Five male buffalo calves (20-2Sm; 220-290 kg) were first ted control diet (M1))aong with wheat straw ad lib and Vitablend for 30 d and then the same animals were swiiched over to experimental diet (M,) where 30 parts of wheat bran was replaced w/w with the sun-dried digested slurry from bio-gas plant for another 30d. At the end of each feeding, metabolism trial was conducted. No significant effect was observed between the trials on DM intake, digestibility of nutrients and balances of N, Ca and P. The DCP and TD\ determined by method of difference were 7.20 and 38.5 % respectively. There was no ssgnificant tifferencc in the DCP and TDN consumption of animals between the two trials. The microbiological screening of the sun-dried slurry showed that pathogenic organisms such as Salmonella, Coliforms snd Staphylococci were absent.
