Total tannins, condensed tannins, CP and CF content were estimated in Ficus hookerii, Ficus numeralis, Ficus infectoria Sauria nepaulensis, Brassaiopsis mitis, Schima wallichii, Castonopsis indica, Ficus cunts, Erythrina indica and Betula cytindiostacys at monthly interval for one complete year. The CP and CF levels sanged from 9.08 tt 28.68 and 8.98 to 40.33 per cent. The CP values were higher during February-May and lower In winter months. CF values were higher during winter months and low during February-May. The total and condensed tannin levels ranged from 0.5 to. 8.12 and 0.0 to 5.31 per cent Total and condensed tannin levels declined during winter months. CP was positively and CF was negatively correlated with condensed tannis (P<0.01).
