Six diets were prepared containing 20 and 40% raw and roasted rice bean meal (RBM) for broilers. The roasted RBM diet was also fortified with animal protein. ME (Kcal/kg) of diet was significantly (P<0.05) higher in control diet D, (2950 Kcal/kg) and diet containing 20 % roasted RBM, however, body weight gains of chickens were maximum on control diet (1819g). Similarly, weight gains (g/d) were more (37.12) on diet D, and diet D, (35.54) containing 40% roasted RBM. The diets with roasted RBM improved growth and feed to gain ratio, whereas additton of animal protein to the diets decreased growth and ffee to gain ratio. Raw RBM, however, exhhibited adverse effects on growth. The CP, EE, Ca, and P balance (g/d) also increased in diets containing roasted RBM. It was concluded that toasted RBM can be incorporated in broiler ration upto 40% on DM basis.
