Metabolizability of Feed Energy in Broilers Fed on Biostimulators

Abstract

Kxperiment was conducted on I50 d.old broilers to study the effects of biostimulators on metabolizability of feed energy during rainy, winter and summer season. Rigidly controlled experiments were conducted in each season, involving 150 d old broilers from 0-4 weeks of their age. Biostimulators were prepared and added to drinking water (@ 0.2 ml/100 g body wt of broilers) at weekly intervals. The metabolic trial was conducted at 4 wks ot age during each season. The percent tnergy metabolized was highest in chick embryo(CE) group (74.92) and lowest in control in control (70.09). The energy metabolized in Goat testicle (GT), Broiler liver (BL) and Broiler testicle (BT) groups were 73.73, 72.52 and 71.34 percent, respectively. Treatmentwise and seasonwise means of ME estimated were found to be 2872, 29X5. 2913 and 3063 Kcal/kg diet in control, GT, BL, BT and CE groups respectively. The CK group had the best energy utilization as compared to all other rgoups led on biostimulators and the biostimulator groups could metablize the dietary energy in a better way than the control. There was significant difference between treatment and seasons over control (P>0.05). Chick embryo group was found to be superior amongst all treatment groups.
