Sixteen (16) Black Bengal kids divided into four groups were offered either rice straw (T1). dried rumen content with 10% molasses RCM (T2), rumen content silage with molasses RCSU (t3) and rumen content silage molasses RCSUM (T4) for a period of 16wks. All lhe groups were offered a common concentrate mixture. The voluntary DM intake, water intake and apparent digestibility were lower (P<0.01))n kids fed d, diet than other three groups T2, T3, and T4, but T3 and T4 groups did not tvry significantly. The N, Ca, P balances and dody weight gain in T4 group were eigher (P<0.01) than other three groups. The balances of N, Ca and P were minimum in T1 ggoup with lowest weight tgin. The eumen pH, total N, NH,-N, GOT and GPT activity of rumen liquor were higher in T4 group, whereas lowest values, were recorded in T1 group. The serum protein, BUN, SGPT activity were significantly (P<0.01) more than T1 and T2. These results suggest that ensiling rumen contents is better from feeding point of view.
