Chopped banana (Musa paradiosica) leaf waste was fed to six adult crossbred (Ongolo X Holstein) bulls (av.wt. 430 kg) as sole leed. The DM intake was 60% of the requirement. The UCF and TDN contents of the banana leaf waste were 4 3 and 43.1 %, respecttvely. In rumen fermentation study, the concentrations of all the N fractions and TVFA peaked at 4h post feeding and pH values were inversely related to TVFA concentrations.
