Effect of Supplementing Different Levels of Novozyme SP-243 in the Ration on the Egg Laying Performance of Keystone Golden Layers
Abstract
Restricted feeding (10% of ad lib.) of standard layer diet supplemented with Nuvozyme SP-243 at graded levels of 0,15,25 and 35 g/q to 26-weeks- old Keystone-Golden layers for a period of 8 weeks was done. The differences in the total numler and weight of the eggs laid, % hen-day-egg production, and feed required to produce one dozen of eggs and/or 1 kg of egg-mass, under different treatments were statistically non-significant. However, the group fed the supplement @15g/q of feed numerically gave higher performance as compared to all other groups with regard to number of eggs laid, % hen-day-egg production and egg weight and low feed cost for producing per kg egg mass.
