Abstract

Six Marwari yearling sheep were fed complete ration of wheat straw supplemented with urea, molasses, mineral mixture and salt. The feed block contained CP, 8.69; EE 2.55; CF, 35.62; NFE, 41.76; Ash, 12.00; P, 0.46 and Ca, 0.92 %. The DM intake/d; per 100 kg body weight and per kg W0.75 were 527.83±16.54 g, 2.66±0.05 kg and S6.28±1.01 g, respectively. The DCP was 4.62 % and TDN 52.15 % in the feed with the daily Intake of 24.38±1.57 g DCP and 275.26±8.64 g TDN. The digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, CP, EE, CF and NFE were 49.29±0.83, 54.71±1.61; 53.17±3.03, 66.45±2.33, 66.81±0.59 and 47.76±2.91, respectively. The N and P balance were positive with negative Ca balance.
