Five green roughages viz. Ricehean (Vigna umhellata). Oat (Avena sativa). Pea (Pisum sativum), Nevaro (Ficus hookerii) leaves and Kabra (Ficus infectoria) leaves were fed to 25 New Zealand white rabbits (5 in each group) as source of roughage in a 8 weeks growth trial. DM intake/100 kg body weight was significantly higher in groups fed Nevaro, Kabra and Ricebean fodder (P<0.01). Average daily gain was similar in groups fed ricebean, pea and kabra and was significantly higher than Nevaro groups (P<0.05). The FCR in Oat (3.69) and Pea (3.56) group was better compared to Ricebean (4.61) and Kabra (4.41, P<0.01). The Nevaro group consumed more feed per kg gain than other groups (P<0.01), DM intake/kg live weight gain was significantly low in oat and pea groups (P<0.01).
