Six adult male Soviet Chinchilla rabbits (B.Wt 2346±52g) were fed ricebean fodder as sole feed for 26 days. The fodder contained CP 18.36%, CF 21.79%, EE 1.42%, NFE 50.63%, TA 7.80%, Ca 1.57%, P 0.23% and GE 4428 Kcal/g on DM basis. DM intake was 58.15±2.41 g/kg body weight or 71.93±3.04 g/kg w0.75. Mean digestibility coefficients for DM, OM, CP, CF, EE and NFE were 61.69, 64.95, 65.65, 30.13, 21.28 and 76.76, respectively. The average DCP, TDN and DE values of green ricebean were 12.23±0.35%, 59.32±1.71 % and 2.63±0.02 Kcal/g, respectively. Green ricebean could fully meet the maintenance needs of rabbits on sole feeding.
