Abstract

A descriptive study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge regarding hand hygiene among Primary school Children in selected rural community of Dehradun. A total of 30 primary school children were selected by convenient sampling technique and data was collected by conducting an interview schedule in the month of December 2017. The finding of study revealed the among 30 primary school children 28(93.33%) had good knowledge, 2 (6.67%) had average knowledge and none had below average knowledge regarding hand hygiene. There was no significant association between knowledge regarding hand hygiene among primary school children and selected demographic variables (i.e. age, gender, class, occupation of parents, order of birth and number of siblings).
