A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge and Attitude regarding Lifestyle Modification among patients with Chronic Kidney Disease at selected Hospital Coimbatore

Abstract

Knowledge and attitude regarding lifestyle modifications among patients with chronic kidney disease at selected hospital coimbatore.

Pre experimental one group pretest posttest design was used in this study. Non probability purposive sampling technique was used. The sample size was 40. Self administered questionnaire regarding lifestyle modifications among patients with chronic kidney disease was used to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding lifestyle modifications among patients with chronic kidney disease.

This study revealed that the obtained‘t’ value was 22.8 was more than the table value (2.008) at 0.005 level of significance. Hence the stated hypothesis was accepted and it was inferred that the structured teaching programme was effective in improving knowledge and attitude regarding the lifestyle modifications among patients with chronic kidney disease There was a significant association between pretest level of knowledge score with selected demographic variables.
