Diarrhea is a serious global public health problem. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that over 2.2 million deaths due to diarrheal infections occur annually, especially among children less than five years of age (Bern, 1992; WHO, 2002).1
A quantitative research method was selected. A descriptive research design was adopted for this study. The samples for the study were 50 mothers of under five children which were selected by using non-probability purposive sampling technique.
The results showed that greater percentage 36% of samples are in the age group of 16–22 year. Only 34.5% of the mothers were having good practice on home management of Diarrhea and 65.5% of the mothers were having poor practice on home management of Diarrhea.
The study concluded that very few mothers were having good practice on home management of Diarrhea. Health awareness programme need to be given to Mothers of Under five Children in selected area of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
