The skin thickness measurements of various breeds and age groups of crossbred cattle were studied. The flank region was chosen for skin thickness measurements among 742 crossbred cattle. The overall average skin thickness of the crossbred cattle was 4.45±0.04mm, the heighest overall skin thickness being recorded by Friesian × Non-descript Crossbred namely, 4.71±0.05mm. In males, the mean skin thickness was 5.08±0.09 where as in females, it was 3.83±0.22mm. The mean skin thickness was found to be highest during the dry period.
