120 grower male rabbits belong to six F1 crossbred group (SC × NZW, NZW × SC, SC × LC, LC × SC, NZW × LC, LC × NZW) of uniform age, body weight and size were considered for this study. 20 rabbits under each and every genetic groups were divided randomly into two groups keeping 10 in each group. Control group was supplied with pelleted ration @ 125 gm per day per head and treated group was supplied with same ration, same quantity fortified with probiotic (Biovet YC) 0.2%. So, in total 12 groups were studied for six weeks. Analysis of data revealed that probiotic supplementation had significant (P< 0.05) effect on average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) only. ADG was significantly higher in probiotic fed rabbits in all genetic groups except NZW × LC and LC × NZW. FCR was significantly (P< 0.05) lower in treated rabbits in case of SC × NZW, NZW × SC and SC × LC, indicating better feed utilization for probiotic supplemented rabbits. Except LC × SC in all the genetic groups final live weight at 16 weeks of age was higher (P > 0.05) in probiotic fed rabbits.
