Physiological and haematological studies were conducted on four Kathiawari neonatal foals immediately after birth till 12 weeks of age. Haemoglobin, packed cell volume and total erythrocytic count decreased signifying physiological anaemia. Respiration and pulse rate also decreased to reach nearly adult values. Total leucocytic count increased during first week and then decreased. Neutrophil percentage decreased whereas lymphocyte increased significantly during the period of study.
