A total of 16538 buffaloes brought to various veterinary hospitals and infertility camps formed the material for the study. The reproductive problems were categorized as anatomical, functional and pathological causes. Various anatomical causes observed were infantile genitalia 0.54%, hypoplasia of ovaries 0.10% and parovarian cyst 0.19% in buffaloes. The percentage of incidence of functional causes of infertility were smooth ovaries 75.5, cystic ovarian degeneration 0.59, persistent corpus luteum 1.29, repeat breeding 0.32 and silent heat 0.13 in buffaloes. The incidence of pathological causes were salphingitis 0.03, endometritis 17.01, pyometra 1.43, mucometra 0.01, cervicitis 2.09, vaginitis 0.71 and vaginal tumors 0.01 per cent in buffaloes. The incidence of infertility problems did not differ significantly (P<0.05) among four divisions of Rangareddy district.
