Abstract

Data on body weight and heart girth, body length, height at withers and hip width of 1411 Deccani ewes at 2, 4 and 8-teeth age, reared under field conditions in 14 villages of 8 mandals in its native breeding tract of Mahabubnagar district were analyzed. Thebody weights and body measurements were significantly affected by the mandals. The phenotypic correlations were positive and significant.
