Abstract

Micro mineral status of soils, feeds, fodders and buffalo serum samples was assessed in western agro climatic zone of Vidarbha. The available levels of copper and manganese were higher whereas 50 per cent soil samples analysed were deficient in zinc followed by marginal availability of iron. The feeds and fodders were rich source of copper, manganese and iron but deficient in zinc. The mean serum micro minerals concentrations in buffalo were within normal range except for zinc. It was concluded that the buffaloes were deficient in zinc and excess in manganese, which is directly correlated to zinc and manganese concentration in soils, feeds and fodders.
