Abstract

Results revealed that cypermethrin is highly toxic to the test zooplankters, as the LC50 values are noticed in ppb. The zooplankters were also found more susceptible to cypermethrin at water hardness of 275±3 mg/l as compared to water hardness of 540±3 mg/l. In general, the trend of sensitivity for zooplankters to cypermethrin was noticed as Moina < nauplii < Daphnia < cyclops. The safe dischargeable concentrations for the cypermethrin have been recorded too low as compared to harmless or safe concentrations for the zooplankters.
