Abstract

The present study was undertaken to study the impact of the scheme on farm women in terms of changes in the area of knowledge of scientific calf feeding and disease control using a knowledge test. A proportionate random sample of seventy five beneficiary and non beneficiary women were selected from four milk societies, Beneficiaries had significantly (P<0.05) higher knowledge of scientific calf feeding and disease control of calves when compared to non beneficiaries. Item wise analysis indicated that there is a need for imparting a comprehensive knowledge about deworming and vaccination of calves.
