The Swamp buffaloes of Assam are hardy, medium s i zed wi th typical body conformation. Data on body conformation traits i.e. body, horn, leg, head and tail measurements of 302 Swamp buffaloes were collected randomly from villages of Kamrup and Nagaon districts of Assam and classified according to age viz., below six months, 6 months to 1 year, 1 to 2 years, 2 to 3 years, 3 to 4 years, 4 years and above. The regression co-efficient for various body measurement traits was found to be highly significant (P<0.05) and positive.
