Twenty seven BC5 generation cytotypes of cotton alongwith the check ‘H777’ were evaluated and analysed for stability of per cent bollworm incidence, jassid grade seed cotton yield and its components traits. Significant genotypic differences and genotype X environmental interaction were found for all characters. Role of linear as well as non linear component of genotype x environmental Interaction was observed. The most stable cytotypes were for per cent bollworm damage on green and open bolls (DES-BARB 211, DES-TOM16, BJR-TOM16, DES-TOM 211, BN-TOM 271, BJR-TOM 271, BN-ARB 16, SRT-ANOM 16, SRT-HAF 16 and BN-HAF 211) and for jassid grade (SRT-ARB16, BN-ARB-16, BJR-ARB 16, SRT-ANOM 16, DES-HAF 211, SRT-BARB 16, SRT-BARB 211, SRT-TOM 16, BN-TOM 16, DES-TOM-271, SRT-TOM 211 and BN-TOM 211).
