Fifty seven diverse varieties/strains were evaluated for yield stability and adaptability over three yeacs under ralnfed condition. G x E interaction was significant for almost all the characters indicated that genotypes differed significantly. Study revealed superiority as well as stability of RR 17, TNAU 888, PR 2679, VR 550, Simhadri, Godawari, Ratnagiri and KM 208 for seed yield and its important component characters under varying environmental conditions.
