Abstract

Field investigations were carried out during 1990–91 and 1991–92 crop seasons with 77 chilli cuItivars to isolate yellow mite resistant sources. On the basis of yellow mite incidence, injury grade and damage index nine chilli entries namely LlC 19, LCA 312, YAM, LlC 13, LCA 235, Clustar mutant, LCA 330, EC 128946 and LlC 45 were identified as resistant cultivars against chilli yellow mite. Besides the above, 31 entries were categorised as susceptible while 37 entries were identified as highly susceptible to yellow mite.
