No significant difference was found between ultra low volume and high volume sprayers in controlling safflower aphid. Dimethoate 30EC gave maximum protection of 86.0% upto 15 days after application and it was significantly superior over rest of the treatments. Further maximum seed yield of 18.8 q/ha was recorded by dimethoate 30EC with high volume sprayer and it was significantly superior over rest of the treatment combinations. The next best treatments in this regard were methyl parathion 50EC (15.2 q/hal, monocrotophos 40EC (14.9 q/ha), fenvalerate 20EC (14.5 q/ha) with high volume sprayer and monocrotophos 40EC with ultra low volume sprayet (14.5 q/ha) and all these four treatment combinations were at par with each other.
